Competition Winners

Bag2school Ireland is a free fundraising scheme working in partnership with Schools, Clubs, Business, Community Groups, Councils and Charities to help you raise funds from your donations and at the same time help the environment by providing a service to help REUSE and RECYCLE items of unwanted clothes and shoes.

Bag2School is a free fundraising scheme established in 2001. We work in partnership with Schools, Clubs, Business, Community Groups, Local Councils and Charities to help you raise from your donations.

We operate throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland; collecting and selling your unwanted textiles to importers and wholesalers in many countries of Eastern and Western Europe, Africa and Asia.

Some Interesting Textile Recycling Facts:

- Over 70% of the world's population use second hand clothes.
- If everyone in the UK bought one reclaimed woollen garment each year, it would save an average 371 million gallons of water and 480 tones of chemical dyestuffs.
- At least 50% of textiles we throw away are recyclable, however, we only recycle around 25%.

School Fundraising

Experience shows that most schools run one collection per term and as parents get used to it they actually save the clothes and the collections get bigger!

How It Works

We will arrange a mutually agreed time for our van to arrive at the school to receive the bags. Our driver will load the bags directly onto the van. The collection is then weighed and we send you a cheque. Simple!
